beovision 7-40 mk2 connecting stb

hi can anyone please help i have connected a stb to my mk2 but cannot get sound, hd is through dvi adaptor so i know this does not carry sound, how do i get sound tried getting sound via scart with dvi connected as well, please can any one help!!

Hi Chip, Search for this subject as I have posted a couple of threads about my 7-32 MKIII/Apple TV. Sorry but I'm on my iPad at the moment and cannot post threads.

Which box are you using?  Which AV socket are you using on the BV7? Have you set the menu correctly in setup?

The basics are right, but there's something you're not doing in the setup if my suspicions are correct.

alternatively, if the box is set to HDMI out only somehow, the sound will not be outputting. Depends on the box. Sky boxes output on everything with regards to sound...
