Still haven't sen anything from B&O yet, but I thought this from LG looks like a modernised Beovision 6-26. The design of TVs is really picking up and the gap is starting to close a bit!

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I saw this plus another good looking LG screen on Red Dot's design award website. LG's design philosophy is classified as "caring" and it's good to see this healthy attitude to the challenge on everyday objects.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

I know someone who bought this £4999 OLED LG TV last week, from John Lewis of all places. He is absolutely astonished by the picture quality. Transfixed, he claims. I've not seen his OLED myself, yet, but he really is overjoyed with the quality of the picture.

Although it would have to be a compelling reason for me to switch from my B&O, as I love my BV11, an OLED 55" for under £5K is an incredible price. If LG can release a 55" for <£5K, perhaps we'll see a B&O OLED as that 'BV7 replacement', due April/May this year? That's supposed to sit above the BV11 (£10K for the BV11-55), so the higher price point (£12K?) could allow it to happen. Unlikely, but here's hoping. If it did happen, I'd seriously consider upgrading my BV11.
