Hi all,

I'm in the process of buying a second hand beovision 7. I was looking at a new beovision 11-55 and read all reviews I could find. I do like the design of the 11, but my living room is better suited for a less tall tv.

Some reviews also said the beovision 7 is 'better', picture quality wise, but definitely sound quality wise, which is why I started looking around at second hand beovision 7s. I don't care much about smart tv stuff, as I plan to connect an xbmc device, which will be used 95% of the time.

I found this particular set online, but I've found conflicting advertising. Can anyone see from the pictures whether it is a 40" or 55" variant?

Thanks!

Get the 7. I have an 11 and yes the picture is great, but you will only end up spending thousands on extra speakers to make up for the fact, that ultimately it's a flat panel with speakers to match.

My dealer has been very generous and helpful sorting out my 11, but I still wish I'd gone for a 7-40 mk6 or even better, a 7-55 mk2. My 11 is on a stand and doesn't take up much less space than my old 7-40, but when you include the clutter of all the supplementary speakers it's become an eyesore.

I want a modern Avant. The best picture, sound and BluRay player, and all in one cool box.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

The 7-55 mk2, with it's full backlit 512 zone panel, produces a superb picture.

A  UK dealer in used B & O is advertising a 7-55 3D, with a warranty to September 2015, for sale at £8750.

Agree with this. You can't beat a 7-55 MK2, even with the latest BV11-55!

Well, this one is overpriced if a 40", I overlaid some frontal pictures of a 55" and indeed, the blu-ray tray has a different size, ensuring this is a 40", which is simply too smal for me.

Here in Belgium I didn't find good deals on demo 55" BV7s. At most a 20% discount for a TV that has gone out of production (I guess).

Found some in The Netherlands, priced at €9500, including a 7.4 or 7.6 and motorized stand. Still rather expensive, given I'd have an 11-55 on a motorized stand for €8500.
