Does anyone know where I can find the relaese notes for the firmware of the Playmaker? I now have a Playmaker mk1 fith firmware version 1.00.2196., that is able to play Flac files. What hapens when I do update the firmware of the playmaker? Which firmware version will be installed? And does it become a mk2 playmaker after the firmware update, that is not longer able to play Flac files?
I have the MK1 as well, same software version.
Every now and then it drops the network connection and I have to reboot, am suspecting my MIFI router but before I switch that thing out, can anyone please post if they have an MK1 playmaker with a later version? I dont think there are releasenotes and I also don't think MK1 will play Flac
i dont have a router so can't check myself for updates
Cheers

It's all on this link: http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/6708/60299.aspx#60299
My Mk 1 plays FLAC fine also!
I have a PM with firmware version 1.00.2485, but how can I find out if it is mk1 or mk2?
If it plays FLAC it's a Mk 1

Playmaker mark1 = type number 2930 - 2931
Playmaker mark2 = type number 2970 - 2971

Thanks for the info Opman, It looks like I have a mk1. Which is a bit strange since I got it last August I believe and I thought that it had already been replaced by mk2 at the time. Anyway, I don't really care and it might be for the better due to FLAC support... Cheers!
According to the current specifications at http://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/sound/sound-systems/playmaker, the PlayMaker can play FLAC in it's current format: MP3 (all) or VBR / CBR 32 -> 320kbit, WMA, both VBR and CBR 20 -> 320kbit (Doesn’t support WMA LOSSLESS), AAC (ISO and ADTS) -> 320kbit, FLAC, WAVE
So, when my new PM MK2 arrives (I already own a MK1), with the forthcoming BL18s, if it doesn't play FLAC i'll get them on the mis-advertising law ;)
