HI,
I will receive next week the supposedly 'mint' Beomaster 2400-2 I just bought on-line. I know it doesn't come with the original remote, and I was wondering whether there is a known brand/model available of a 'universal' remote that can operate on it. I have found some online offerings for the original, but it is quite expensive and I am not sure I would use it a lot (the idea is to plug an airport express audio out into the TAPE input and play music from itunes, iPhone or iPad).
Regards, from Paris, France

Hello,
You will find a remote by scrutining Ebay and Le Bon Coin, there is no equivalent of this on the market. It is fun to have one.
Feeding via Airplay to the Tape input is a good possible solution.

The problem finding a replacement remote is that the 2400 uses an ultrasound remote rather than the infrared type now almost universally found. The remote for the 6000 is similar but not a direct swap - and more scarce anyway!

Many thanks to both of you for your quick return. True, I had not thought about the ultrasound vs. infrared issue, and hoped that a standard universal remote would do the trick.
My plan is now the following:

That's because of me the other BM6000 remote has Olly

Yes, I see ... My personal vice is ukulele. I have suffered a serious attack of UAS (ukulele acquisition syndrom) in the recent years, and as I seem to be cured, I do not want to yeld once again to the dark side and suffer B&OAS ... or not too much anyway ... but what is too much when you love ... and who am I to decide ?
