Dear members,

I intend to use a completely analog phone network with three Beocom 2500s and two local wired LAN connections. I'd also like to use the glass fiber connection of our house. Which B&O router would be appropriate for my setup?

Thanks very much!

Greetings,

Kai

Hi Kai,

What you need is an IP telephone box. This is a box that you connect to the internet and it will produce an analog signal for your "old" phones.

BeoCom 2500 -> [IP telephone box/SIP Box] -> [Router] (Note that B&O doesnt make routers, but buy a decent router).

Then of course it is a matter of cabling. And the matter of chosing a phone operator for your IP telephony (I guess you want to take your old number with you). Some routers that are included with an Internet subscription include a IP-telephone port so perhaps you don't need a box for that. Hard to tell without knowing if it is a new house, where in the world you live and so on :).

I'm happy to help you futher if you want.

Regards,
Michael
