My BV11 has a white fret panel. In bright daylight the fret is near brilliant white, but under artificial lights it is grey. I like the effect, but is it a function of the fabric material or weave?

Is this effect seen with other fret colours?

Nope. Petrol blue is not brillant at all.

I'm inclined to think that the thin fret fabric allows some visibility of the black plastic backing. In bright light the fabric colour dominates, but in low light conditions the black backing has more influence and changes white towards grey. If I recall correctly grey and silver were also colour choices... and I would guess they would demonstrate less of this effect.

So, it's just the white fret that appears to change colour in low lighting????
