Hello Members,

i just bought a second hand, sadly ruined MPAV 9000.

No sliding doors, missing lower pulley mechanism, and - the main problem - no power.

I opened up the unit, and the main pcb (power supply, with masterlink, aerial connectors ) has some physical damage.

The secondary side fuse F6 is toast(250v 1A), and a diode is missing.

The missing diode is the D27, SMD one.

Can you please tell me what type the diode is, and how its orientated? helping points would be the C10 and the F6 fuse about the orientation of the diode's anode and cathode, because the D27 has one trace going to the fuse and the other to the capacitor.

Also noticed that the MasterLink connector's pin 4 and pin 5 are joined together with a solder blob. Is it a factory short, or somebody accidentally joined them together?

These efforts are only made to decide wether to carry over with the unit, or sell it for parts. If the power comes back, I want to test the CD unit and the radio, and use the duckling-MPAV as a hidden, but functional unit with an AV9000.
