Is any of you using the 12-65? Thinking to replace my Pioneer Kuro with it, mainly for the size, but I've never owned a B&O TV set.

-Would it allow me to use a beo4 to power on off the whole system, including the beolab 5 with a touch of one button?

-my understanding is that the tv has it's own center channel speaker. Can it be used as a 4.0 surround system instead of 5.0? Can't imagine that center channel blending well with bl5.

-then there is the 4k thing...for the future.

Thanks for your inputs.

You could also take a look at the Beosystem 4, you will have the same one remote control over your system, but you can keep your pioneer or get another screen.

Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence

wondering whether there is a way to calibrate the surround sound system with it.

I'm pretty much set to buy the TV soon, but I'd like some form of sound calibration...

Thanks

Don't know if that is what you are looking for,

but you can find some interesting stuff about the BSys4 'sound engine'

here

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Yes. That's pretty much what I was looking for. Thank you!

Do you think this system can power on/off the beolab 5?

If you mean: put into Standby and wake it up - definitely YES.

if you mean: completely power off - no, because that is not intended.

The bl5 connects directly to the bsys 1,3 or 4

It will turn on any beolab connected to it when it dunces a source of audio for that zone.

You assumed right, I meant standby indeed. Thanks.

Love the "YES"
