I have seen the the S45-2 model often shows up in this forum.
I have no experience myself of it, so I wonder;

Is it becuase it is generally common, sold in big quantities, or is it because it is a particular good sounding speaker ?

My re-capped M75 are my precious diamonds.

As a owner of 1979 pair in teak I can say 2 facts:

1: They sound amazing

2: They do not have foamrot

Many '80s and forward Beovox rot with time. Beolab needs attention too.

The S45-2 just plays.

Yes it is very common and here in France they just keep showing up in local ads. I've just found a brand new pair in original box!

Quite common and much better than one would expect. Compared to the other speakers in the range, they were simply more accurate. Serendipity I suppose. S75s give more bass but are not held in the same regard. I like S75s though and initially chose them over S45.2s because of the warm blousy bass. As I have got older, I now prefer S45.2s!
