Hi to all.

I am messing about in our sauna. Here we don't have connection to one of the master systems in the house but I did try to,.. without success..

We do though have in our (outdoor) sauna a wireless Apple airport thingy. I use it to connect to the net in our outdoor kitchen which is directly connected to the sauna. I have a Beolink Passive left over and thought to use it as a standalone to play sound through the internet. I can't make it work. Not through the IR itself and neither he Beo4 doesn't trigger the amp and of course that must be because it isn't attached to a master system. Obviously the only thing it has to do is switch on. Can I trigger this action otherwise..(yeah, yeah, but I mean without a master system.) I try to have things as compact as possible here.

Oh yeah, for you who wonder, I have used an old cable that I have(from Steve) that goes from power link to female mini jack (3,5mm) that is connected the the Apple airport.

Kind regards and thanks for your replies in advance,

Beoblok

How about an old wireless 1 kit?

The real issue is does the beolink passive have line sense to turn on.. Right?

If if would line sense you could use iDevice to control the whole setup.

I have done a standalone beolink active installation by connecting it to a beolink video by ML. You use the datalink connector of beolink video to lead sound into it.

Beolink converter should work

That's an easy fix. Beolink converter will automatically identify itself on the ML network as either a video or audio master I believe

Yes, thats correct. You may use any audio command to activate BL-Active/Passive. Connecting a Lintronic Box to BL-Video you may control different sources associated with the commands.

Thanks everyone, I've got it working! I can control it via the Beo4 TV command or of course with the IR eye directly but I hung that conveniently high up.

All input very much appreciated!

Kind regards,

Beoblok
