On the new one, first the screen will lift up and reveal the speakers which will then move outwards (like the av5, but staying within the confinds of the screen) it will be magic again.

Sounds very nice but lg or samsung have already done that! But they won't have that B and O Magic..

The light up remote sounds great at last! :-)

Just wondering have the speaker will behave in a 5.1 setup?

Doesn't seem to be the best to have a 'split up center speaker'.

Douglas:

There is also a very nice new flat remote with lighted display included

As long as it can be controlled with a Beo4 as well, that's ok.

It sounds interesting - probably more of a remote for a standalone tv.

I guess we'll have to wait at least 4 weeks to get the answer.

I suppose so, from avant to an beolab 7.2 and beovision, they  acts as a center mono speaker in a surround set up. Even though speakers are apart. On a 7.6 the tweeters are  even almost 1m50 apart.

Which is not optimal!

An option might be to have the speakers revealed, but not moved outwards if used as a center.

Some people very firmly believe that the only 'true center speaker' is a BL7.4.

Also, from that clip I found a very interesting youtube video on B&O...

http://youtu.be/QjI_yqonF-0

(sorry, can't do a direct link from my iPad)

However, I nearly dropped my iPad at 5 minutes 16 seconds when a most derogatory comment flashed up, which may or may not have been directed at one of the cyclists?
