Hi all,

I'm a new member and this is my first post. Greetings to all.

I have a B&O Beogram 1900 turntable that has been out of service for quite sometime and is now running slow. If I turn on the table and leave it run it will eventually get up to speed after about 45 minutes or so. I was reading online that this is a common problem with this table and that the solution is to take the motor apart and boil the bearings in oil as the old grease hardens and gunks things up. I'm pretty sure that this is the problem with my table but if someone thinks it's something else any help would be appreciated. I have put on a new belt so it's not at belt issue. Anyway the problem I'm having is I can't get the motor apart. I can't get the bottom plate off (Member Punchback posted pictures of his motor with the bottom plate removed plate so I know it's removable). Removing the four nuts holding the plate doesn't seem to help. Is it glued on? if so any ideas on the best way to break the glue? I'm also having trouble removing the copper pulley on the motor shaft. I heated the piece with a soldering iron which enabled me to get the small bushing off the shaft but not the large circular part. Sorry I would post pictures but haven't figured out how to do this yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe it's possible to just spray something like WD-40 in the motor and get it working without taking apart??

Thanks in advance.
