Beolab 5, beolab 19 connect to beomaster 5. Is it possible tp keep the bass the same?

Hi everyone,

I recently order beosound/beomaster 5 and beolab 19 from beostore. They will come on 14 -June, and technician will come and install it. What I wonder was at the time i am in the store and express my interest about beolab 19, the sale rep already knew i got my beolab 5, she told me beolab19 will give me more bass. However, today when i called and asked about it. She said it might take some bass signals from my beolab 5 away. Im really confused rite now. Is there anyone in here having encountered with the connection like these before? Please do help. Thank you very much

The beolab 5s by them selfs would give all the bass you would ever need without needing a beolab 19 added to the chain, I'm a bit surprised to why you brought a beolab 19 aswell?

Hi, the problem was the design of beolab 19 was so impressive, and the sale girl misled me by giving me the recommend " more bass " make me feel there will be no harm at all. But later she said something that's making a bit worries now.

There is no way a BL19 with two 8 inch woofers will even approach the amount of bass the BL5s can produce out of their two 15 inch woofers. The BL5 does not need a subwoofer, and trying to add one will mess up the calibration the BL5s do to correct for room acoustics. I think your salesperson hasn't a clue.

Where the sales person misled you i would look into seeing if you can get a refund. The beolab 5s are a reference speaker in there own right and don't need any additional help. 

I feel like she should have advised you better in not making an unnecessary purchase.

If you are dealing with a quality and reputable dealer they will take your 19 back.

They truly gave you bad advice - why in the world would they suggest that it is a good thing to add a Beolab 19 to a set up with Beolab 5.

All it is going to do is to mess up a perfect sound.

I have not called them yet, but hopefully they would let me do exchange for this reason. Because my order had been placed for almost 2 weeks.

I called the sale girl today, and she was happy to take it off from the invoice. Thank you everyone for your recommendation.
