Sorry to start with a help thread but with a lack of B&O shops now available in my area I thought I best ask people who actually know the product
I am struggling to connect my mk2 playmaker to my wireless network. The light will flash green, I enter the B&O set up app, click on the item and the first option is Network. I select my network name and it prompts me to enter my wireless password which as soon as i enter the playmaker flashes white and i cannot see it again. After a while when looking in my iphone wifi section, if i click on playmaker it just says playmaker cannot connect to network?
Can anyone please help!!
Many thanks Kris
There is something called AP isolation, a setting on the WIFI router that prevents devices on the network to communicate with each other.
If I recall correct, my Playmaker behaved like yours when I had set that on. Any Airplay device would.
Cheers
JK
I purchased a PM for my dad and set it up for him
For the life of me i couldn't get the wireless set up to work. I connected the PM via ethernet first to set up and then after that the wireless was fine.
Thank you for the quick replies much appreciated to both JK and yourself :)
I purchased a new router today as I had a similar problem with my sky wireless. Both are now connected to my new router but the issue I now have with the playmaker is I cannot play any music! This is really frustrating as I just want to play some music hassle free.
I am trying to play my music via my iPhone 5s but no option is available in my music on the phone to start playing through the playmaker. The solid white light is now on the playmaker and I've checked via the router and all is ok. Just no option to play music.
i have connected to a beocenter 2 via red/ white phono leads from the playmaker and the red/ white phono in auxiliary port on the beocenter 2. My iphone is connected to my new router or wifi connection as is the playmaker. What could the problem be this time or am I destined not to play anything via the playmaker.
Many thanks
its not OK as far as I know that the light is white, I have MK1 and it is green.
Note that the Playmaker works on 2.4 GHz and new router do 5. you may need ot configure the router for that. it may be set to just do 5. can you see the playmaker in your B&O set up app when you
Can you do a factory reset, let the playmaker start up, connect the iphone into the wifi network it creates and see if you get the airplay button and it plays music?
once that works we can look at the router. what model is it actually? did you check for the AP isolation on your old?
cheers

If I am reading this correctly, you are connecting the red/white RCA from the Playmaker to the same on the BeoCenter 2. Those are both Aux IN, so that would not work. To connect the Playmaker to the BC2, you need to convert one of the PowerLink to RCA OUT.
If you "swipe up" on the screen of the iphone 5s, you should see the airplay icon if you are on the same network. Always possible that the two items are finding different networks
If I read you wrong, my apologies.
If your PM works with RCA then I also suggest swipe up on your iPhone and the airplay icon will appear on the right hand side of that menu (toward the bottom).
You could also check that the PM is available in your network:
> If you have a mac, click in to iTunes and there should be a little airplay icon near the "Play" button in the main interface
If you still have trouble let me know and see if i can make a little video or show you somehow.
My PM is MK 1 and my light is white.
Hi all and thank you again for the replies, as I had a late finish from the office I was unable to take another look at the playmaker. Anyway as listed above I have looked at the wiring and yes it is wired incorrect, aux in to aux in. I have ordered the correct cable RJ45 to RCA. I have also managed to discover it on my apple equipment so hopefully when the cable arrives I will have music at last!
I will update when the cable arrives next week :)

Be sure to configure your Playmaker like this - before you put it into option 0:
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Thank you for the reply. :)
During the weekend my new router kept dropping my internet connection. Anyway after hours of messing around it turns out it was a fault on my telephone line.
My cable arrived today and I was desperate to try the playmaker to see if it finally worked, and............It does! And it sounds quite impressive. Also highlights the amount of music I have with low bit rate. Speakers are beolab 8002. So after lots of issues I have finally managed to get it working with a lot help from you good people!
