I have been holding onto my Beocenter 2 Master Unit for almost a year now. Been searching on ebay for a socket unit and had no luck and now getting pretty desperate.

Are there any third party products that can help? Or any stores that are likely to sell one? Anything to help would be appreciated.

An ashtray, maybe ?

I am surprised to learn that you didn't find a socket unit, I have seen some on sale on ebay.

It depends on the price you want to pay also.

Be cautious, I read on this forum that all the socket unit won't fit to all the master unit. Maybe someone will give you more details.

When the main player unit breaks, the socket units do become available.  I too have seen some on eBay.

You could try contacting the well known B&O resellers to see if they have any available.  They may have one in stock but not on their sales site.

You can also ask about compatibility between head units and socket units.

Dave.

Be aware of the pincode, socket and master (from what I've heard) should match.

Unsure about that as there is only 1 PIN to enter on the master unit.  The socket unit just being the interface between the master unit and any TV system if used or to the speakers.    I vaguely remember there being a compatibility issue between older and newer socket sets with the master unit. Maybe someone like Lee could clarify it?

Maybe the OP could contact Lifestyle AV for clarification.

If you post the four digit type number of your BeoCentre2 it will be possible to identify the type number of the socket box you will need.

I've used every type of master with every type of socket and never had an issue!

I have a small number of Master Socket Boxes for sale actually. PM me!

Lee
