I was hoping to connect my playmaker straight via ethernet cable to my mac, and then maybe even share the macs wirless connection to get the playmaker visible on my wifi 5ghz network.

did anybody got this to work? If i activate internet sharing from wifi to ethernet the playmaker actually is visible in itunes but i can not play anything through it. My prior router behaved that way with ap isolation on.

the light on the playmaker is solid white si it gets the connection

thanks

jj

I found out to connect a playmaker straight to a macbook through ethernet (no router) i need to switch the ip6 system settings to local link, then i can play from itunes by selecting the playmaker as an airplay device.

I switched on sharing the wifi connection, other devices are not picking up the playmaker, that would have been icing on cake.

finally no drop outs .

am eagerly waiting for the release of the almond + router so i can create a dedicated network for the playmaker.
