Hi,
I finally decided to buy a Beosund 9000 and got an offer for a really nice MKIII. It is mounted on a floor stand at the seller and for the transport in my car I obviously need to remove it from the stand.
However, I was wondering how it is attached to the stand. When looking in the manual for the floor stand it seems that it is just to "lift it vertically" as it is attached through "keyhole" holes to the floor stand. Could someone confirm this?
And for the transport (which should not be more than a couple of km at slow speed) do I need to think of anything specific like transport screws etc.? Did not find anything about it in the manuals when I looked now but remember that I have seen it somewhere before.
Thanks - you will hopefully be seeing it in the Flash your B&O thread from the weekend.
Best regards,Riven

Hi Riven
There are four "keyhole" slots in the flat plate of the floor stand. On the rear of the BeoSound 9000 are four screws that hold in "bushings". These bushings locate in the keyhole slots. If you lift the unit up by a few mm it will lift away from the stand.
The cables obviously need disconnecting first. If this proves awkward I find it helpful to lift the unit up and pull the bottom away from the plate and then lower it back so that only the top two bushings are taking the weight. This allows you to pull the unit forward to undo all of the cables. Once done, you simply lift it up again and away.
The original packing included a strip of cardboard and some white polystyrene that fitted between the glass and the facia. If you are only going a short distance and low speed I'm sure you will be fine. Its common sense really.
Hope that helps.

Great, thanks for the help.
