I am the proud new owner of a beosound 9000 mklll from Atlantic systems on e-bay. After attempting to buy two other units being misled both times. Anyway my question is will beo 5 remote work with it or stick with the beo 4 remote? Thanks in advance for your help, and thanks to MediaBobNY for the helpful advice!

Beo5 will work no problem.

The beo4 is much simpler though.

As previously mentioned, the beo5 will work just fine with the BS9000 and the design makes for an unusual piece of table furniture, but I would say it is overkill and likely to be more frustrating to use than a beo4 if the BS9000 is the only device you are looking to control. It really comes into it's own when you want more sophisticated control of a number of devices, both B&O and third party, along with macros etc.

I have both and most of the time I will reach for the beo4 (and if I was forced to keep only one remote the beo5 would be the one that goes)

Martin.

I use a beo5 with my 9000. It was loaded with the beosound 9000 buttons which was handy, as I've never got around trying to program one of these remotes.

a beo4 is much easier to operate, so I always have one nearby in case the fiancé wants to play a cd
