I presume you daisy-chained the BeoLab 3s downstream of the BeoLab 2 ?

This means you received a new cable for the BeoLab 2?

Or did you reuse the cables you had from the BeoLab 3 to the BeoLab 2 ?

Were there any switch settings on the BeoLab 2 - and what did you set them to ?

Hi yes got all new cables for a power supply to run the beolab 2 from sounds heavenly and then had new speaker cables to connect from the beolab to the beolab 3's then connected the speakers and I did switch them to left and right on the actual speakers themselves where as I run them in line position befits when I didn't have the beolab 2 and had them connected from an apple airport express

well Steve is very good and very knowledgable

I know I have a mixture of power link cable types from B&O where there are (at least) 3 types (marks I, II, and III) and I know that when I use a Mark I on the wrong speakers I get a continuous buzz even when there is silence.

Did Steve now what configuration you were setting up when he supplied you with the cables ?

Hi yes he knew everything I had although he didn't ask whether they were mk 1,2,3 etc and I don't know myself as literally just bought the speakers thought they needed a sub really for my listening and got the sub, Steve got me all cables the first time from the beolab 3's to the apple express and never noticed a hissing but now from the beolab 2's hissing and yes even hissing when no volume plus they're always on now as in the green lights on top and speakers are actually warm to touch all the time now also which didn't happen before

I recommend dropping Steve a PM inside Beoworld or emails if you have been corresponding.

I am not familiar with the BL2 and I think that's what's making the difference.

Interesting that a silent Airport Express does not trigger the lights on the BL3s - there must be something in the wiring between the different cables, or how the BL2 behaves - it is quite "old" in comparison to the recent set of speakers so I am not surprised by different behaviours

I know the subs have been out for a while but they seemed to be bullet proof and 850watts of power also which I thought would be a lot louder than it was but prob a good thing it isn't too loud I suppose ha as my Kef htb2se 250watt sub is just as loud in comparison really but just thought it linked with the speakers easily so this would be the easiest way to set them up etc so went down that route and have emailed Steve to see what he thinks Smile As really want to use for tv sound and also my iPhone

Also elephant what did u mean by silent with the apple airport express, as would the airport express turn the speakers on and off as like I said the lights never stayed green when using just the beolab 3's with the airport express

Yes, that is what I meant

I expected the BL3s green lights would go on white the Airport Express became active with an audio signal

When no AirPlay was happening I expect to see silence and hear no green lights (or do I mean vice versa Big Smile)
