Hi there,
I have just purchased a second hand BV7-32 MK3 (HD ready), and I finally got the change to connect my HDR2, which did not work on my previous BV LX6000. I connected my STB via scart. The image is ok, but of course the HDMI output from the STB is better. But I prefer using the HDR2, because I want to pause live TV.
However, when I pause the live TV from the STB, the picture quality is downgraded instantly, with high saturated colors, and blurring edges! It looks like I am watching a VHS. Is this common? I have selected the best record quality on the HDR.
And if this problem cannot be solved, is the pause-feature in the DVD2 any better? Or the output quality in general? It has a HDMI out, so that is promising. Has anyone made the comparison?
Thanks for your help!
Beosound 5 Encore + Beosystem 5500 + S45.2; BV7-40 MKV + BL7.1 + BL14.4+ AppleTV4; various link rooms with MCL2 A or MCL2 A/V + RL60.2 / CX100 / CX50 & Cona / IWS2000; BG4000; Beosystem 1200 + BV1600.
I decided to throw the HDR2 out, since the analogue recording is too ugly. I guess nobody is using this anymore in this age of digital TV!
I got a new set-top box from my telecom provider with harddisk inside, and I can freeze and record HDTV, and with a lintronic box it is almost like a B&O solution.
I would strongly advise against buying a HDR2 if you have HD (ready) sources.
