Today i tried to watch a stream from streamit360 using the built in web browser of my BV11. Now i know there is Opera 9.80 installed and streamit360 told me i need Google Chrome. Ok.

Then there's the possibility to install Google Chrome on my BV11. But i was afraid to brake something.

  • Has anybody already done that?
  • Or is there a possibility to add an app or widget to the DTV section of the BV11?

Any hints appriciated!

Kind regards

Peter

So what i found was an app for my iPad called Livestream where i can see stream360 content. Now it would be great to add this app to the DTV of the BV11.

Suggestions?

Hi Peter,

you can't install any different browser on the tv.

I don't think that there is a 'stream360' app for tv's - at least not for the BV11-platform.

I suppose that the app on an iDevice has built-in AirPlay functionallity.

So if you have an AppleTV-box connected to your tv, that might be a possibility.

By the way - how did you know that Opera 9.80 is installed on the BV11?

I tried to watch http://www.mtbworldchamps.co.za by clicking on "watch it live" i got the error message that Opera 9.80 is not supported and i should install Chrome.

BTW the operating system of the DTV of BV11 is Linux.

Thanks for the explanation!

Yes - the new BV-platform is built on Linux (in some way).
