£4500 in oak. Cheaper in black. A 30-second Google search yields these kinds of answers :)

It depends on who's selling them! The general price for the speakers incl stands/wall brackets with black or white fronts are £3995 per pair and the wooden fronted are about £4650

Regards

Stuart.

May I remind all interested parties that advertising is not allowed on Beoworld forums without a separate agreement.

Can we be clear, is the offer 20% off BL18's if you splash 6K for a TV, or is it 20% off just to buy the speakers?

If it's 20% off speakers then either they haven't sold out as well as expected or else they've completely ripped off the early adopters!

You just can't launch something at that price and then slash 20% off 3 months later - it will just create mistrust in the pricing structure if not the brand itself!

Ban boring signatures!

I bought my wife a Beolit 12 for her birthday on March 24th for £599 and a couple of months later it's £429. I paid £100 extra for smart upgrade on V1 and then that was given away shortly afterwards!

There's a pattern emerging ....

Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1

We must remember that most B&O showrooms are independent businesses not owned by B&O so they are free to sell at any price they like surely?

It could be worse, imagine investing a few hundred thousand Euros in a B&O franchise then to find the products are being sold on Amazon, in Costco or by being supplied direct to your local CI installer .......Whistle

Yes. My wife was saying last week  " should we get an A3 online for £129" , when I believe we considered one for £400 from the real shop when it came out !

I appreciate how you feel about the A3 but AFAIK it does not fit any current iPad models so I can see why the price has dropped.

I totally understand but it's still branded B&O and it's in a clearance outlet. I've been looking to spend on some new speakers for a while and the Beolit and the V1 experience plus seeing the obsolete A3 are at the back of my mind .

I can confirm that Bang & Olufsen do not have any national deals or offers on any of the speakers range since the trade-in deal closed around the middle of last month.

I don't know of any store offering 20% off speakers, with or without a TV purchase - but dealers can set their own price structure.

Bang &Olufsen Uk own a number of stores - all of these stores will have the same pricing structure.

We are an independent franchisee.

PM me if you would like to know more about our current deal....

I had a response from B&O today to my email about paying £100 for Smart TV and then it becoming free a few months later , and then buying a Beolit months before the £170 discount ; I was offered a free set of headphones. I accepted this kind offer . And the wishes for a great weekend too!

Far as I know the 20 percent off deal was a UK thing only and was sent in a private email. I don't know of any B&O dealer offering any sort of discount like that in the US.

Are these speakers better than pre-owned BL9s I wonder? I did consider them but wanted a change from column speakers that I have had for years. How do the two compare?

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

Performance wise? Not in my opinion, but people buy for THEIR reasons.

Thanks for your thoughts. I had no idea they cost £4,500. Never looked into it since they didn't appeal to me. Amazed though that they are this price. They should be superb for that price tag.

The 18's are superbSmile, but so are the 9's. I compared the BL18 with the BL20 and put it down on Beoworld. I have chosen the BL18, because for me the 18's are at least as good if not so better for music. For video alone I would have been struggling because the BL20 is a beast for movies. I think the BL20 are better speakers as the BL9, the differnce is mainly in the low's. But at this moment You can get a good deal on the BL9. You have to listen for yourself because it is all a matter of personal choise.
