Hello!

Just was considering getting a Beoplay V1 - but am I correct that it:

does not have any link connection (netlink)?!

does have the same (modern) chassis like a e.g. Beovision 11?!

thanks, best regards

Elmar

Incorrect on both.

Are you saying the chassis is not the same as the bv11 or not modern , or both?

i understand the V1 chassis is " not proprietary "

It's the same. It has Beolink-Netlink built in natively. If you wanted to use an Atlona matrix switch you may have to pay for a key to unlock that function depending on the model.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Netlink is based on IP and both Bv11 and V1 comes with both Ethernet(wired connection) and wifi.

The TVs are of course not exactly the same. V1 can't communicate with wireless speakers (at least now without a transmitter added). Early Bv11 can't either but later models have it built in.

And as said you can add matrix functionality to V1 by a license key. Hdmi matrix means that you put sources at a central location and let's a Hdmi matrix transmit the data to each TV over a single Hdmi cable per TV. The matrix will switch sources remotely through the tv.

So, short answer is yes V1 has netlink. And it shares the same platform as BV11 but is not exactly the same feature wise (no 3d, wish etc on v1).

Hello!

Thanks for sharing your Knowledge; i just want to be Sure that the v1 could be linked to an existing ML/NL Network with the known Converter; as well as connecting it to a nas like it could be done with the bv11; no problem that there is no WISA

thanks best Regards Elmar
