Hello Beoworld members,

B&O is renown for their innovative use of glass and metal.  As our equipment ages, the adhesive holding these two materials are starting to fail.

Most recently my Beosound 9000 glass door has come cleanly off its hinges, as depicted here.

There seems to be a slew of various products that "bond" glass and metal with mixed reviews but I would like to know your recommendation on brand and type (i.e. glue or epoxy).  Both have been mentioned in previous threads but the result have been inconclusive (mainly because there's no followup).

Not know much about different glues, here's my short list of contenders.

Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there.

I have used "Loctite Power Glue Repair extreme" for the glass on my Beocenter 9500 and Beosystem 4500.
-and for one glass door on my BeoSound 3000. This is really great and  easy to use.

Araldite, a 2-part epoxy, used to get a lot of mentions on this and the previous forum.  I've used it to reattach the metal brackets to the glass doors of the Beosound 2300 series.

Hempel's epoxy, I use it in allmost anything. For Beocenter 2500 glassdoors, Century door...

Tip: Do mix black laser colorpowder in glue, and you get perfect black color in it.

 blah-blah and photographs as needed

I ended up using "Goop" all purpose and it's been holding strong for a few days already.
