Last time here on the forum I was having problems with the CD player in the 9500, this led me to changing the capacitors using Dillen's kit.

It didn't work for me, so disappointed I put it aside for another day...years later I decided to have another look.

After removing the CD mechanism I noticed the ribbon cable was loose in its socket and all most half out. With nothing else obvious I secured the ribbon cable and replaced the CD mechanism then tried a CD. It played and sounded ok (thanks Dillen) except for one problem, only one channel worked.

A check of my problem revealed;

only one channel CD

only one channel am/fm radio

only one channel using either speaker 1 or 2 outlets

only one channel using the power link

Any clues?

Could have I upset anything when removing/replacing the CD mechanism?

I've been trying to revive this unit on/off for 10 years so its sat idle for a long time

Hope someone can throw some light on my problem

Thanks

John
