I needed to clean the stylus on my Beogram 4002 and in re-inserting the cartridge the receptors pushed into the tonearm shaft.
Needless to say I was being very cautious during this process and was genuinely surprised when the MMC20CL instead of being firmly gripped, fell off into my hand.
I managed to pull the receptor out, secured it with pressure from my fingernail and was able to insert the cartridge, after a fashion and the 4002 does indeed play a record with no problem.
However the MMC20CL is not properly secured, so is there any “fix” to this problem? Or do I need to go searching for a whole new tonearm?

If you need a tonarm, I have a mint one here, which I bought for stock years ago, but as of now, have not had to use it.

I have been advised that what happened to my tonearm is quite unusual if not actually unique. However as long as there is no damage to the socket or tonearm (I don’t believe there is) the “fix” is to glue the socket in place, which will solve the problem permanently.
If I run into unexpected trouble, I will definitely be in need of your tonearm.
In any case I really appreciate your offer!

Indeed they do. Canada just like the United States stands solidly behind Israel and its right to defend itself.
I realize this is not a political forum, but what is going on today between Israel and Gaza is quite out of the ordinary and it is effecting people’s lives on both sides directly.
