Dear members,
I have a bigger lamp with 12 x 40 Watt bulbs in it. I today installed a LC2 to dim the lamp. However, after a couple of minutes use, the LC2 turns the lamp automatically off. I've then had a closer look at the manual where it says that the LC2 is suited for lamps from 40W - 300W < 480 W. Is this the cause? If so, is the problem resolved if I replace the 12 x 40 W with 12 x 25 W?
Thanks!
Kai
I think it is very likely that you have seriously overloaded it causing a safety cut out
before investing in a complete replacement set of bulbs, why don't you try and reduce the load by removing all but 5 of the bulbs to reduce the load to 200w and see if the dimmer then functions
Thanks! I've tried it just like that and it seems to work. The light stays on and doesn't turn off any more. Thereofre, I've already invested in replacement bulbs.
Greetings,
