lol I'm having a "Carlsberg: Possibly the best beer in the world"

I'm surprised it was VB rather than Fosters, the Aussie beer not available in Australia because Aussies hate it lol

Carlsberg is alright :) I saw this email and was slightly tempted... but really, i'm not planning on spending that much on over priced bubbly... we australians are blessed with beautiful wines for under $30 a bottle!

Confused Carlsberg is cheap beer! I think I paid less than $40 for a slab, so cheaper per litre than wine

We Finns are blessed with 1.69 EUR tax per liter of beer as long as it is less than 5.5 vol-%.

lol! Sorry,  I should have started a new paragraph :)

I was talking about the champagne offer, and preferring the value for money we get here in oz compared to french champagne :) Anyway, sadly i can't drink beer like i used to, doesn't agree with me anymore which sucks!

Big Smile No probs. My bubbly buys typically come from Australia, Spain or Chile. I do appreciate "real" champagne, but not nearly enough to justify the price.

Tournedos, a good drinking sparkling from Australia at a decent price point is Grant Burge, way better than a lot of Aussie sparklings.
