I fried one of my Beolab 6000s when replacing the drivers. It was a rather stupid mistake, but I was able to repair it (with some help from these forums), though I didn't see a post about this particular issue. I wanted to share my experience and hope it helps someone else. Lesson: Don't make this mistake in the first place!

The speakers had been sitting unused for a while with cracked surrounds. I ordered two new drivers and pulled the old ones out. With the drivers out, I thought to myself, "I should check that these still power on," so I plugged it in. The speaker powered on then killed, powered on then killed. It took about 3 seconds, and after it killed, it wouldn't power on again.

Opened up the amplifier, and there are two fuses on the power supply. Popped them out and tested them, and both were fried. Replaced the fuses, and the 6000 works like new. Fuse type is T2.5a 250v. They look like this: http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/1806233140_1/Free-Shipping-One-Lot-20pcs-Fuse-Miniature-T-font-b-2-5A-b-font-font-b.jpg
