I recently bought a Beovision 10-40 with serial nr 22844209.

From what year is this BV 10-40 and is it a MKI, MKII or MKIII?

I've no immediate access to B&O's database - but I'd say it's a Mk2 and 2011 from the Serial Number.

I speak only from a little experience though, and I'm sure a dealer on here could confirm Smile

This BeoVision left Struer late April 2012 and is an mkIII.

Asking the same question:

My BV 10-40 has serial number 221 724 73.

Can anyone provide manufacturing year/month and MK?

(got it from my dealer as a replacement for a MKI that never functioned as it should.

This all black 10-40 seems to be from Dec 2010 and it's an mkII.

Thanks.

This is what the seller told me, but I was confused because the serial number starts with 22.

I read somewhere that 22..... is from 2010.

It all started to go wrong after about the 210****** Serial Numbers...

As production numbers dropped due to poor sales the serial number sequencing slowed with it.  This led to what used to be a year long number sequence (say 15****** for 2001, 16****** for 2002, 17****** for 2003 and so on) dragging itself over 18 months.  Also there were quite a few products hanging around so the date of first registration may be quite different to the actual production date..  It all got a bit messy and still foxes me.

I'm an absolute whizz with anything up to about 2009 - and after that it's just guesswork unless a dealer can access the B&O system and check for me.
