Congratulations!

I own a 7-55 myself and can assure you that it provides one of the best ownership experiences. Design, sound ( with appropriate speaker setup ) and a fabulous picture let you easily forget the hype about the new new new TV sets with ever increasing refresh rates in the millions..., contrast rates in the billions...and resolutions in 16K.

Joking aside, with a 7-55 you weather the storm and relax with a brilliant set for years to come. Too sad, it is no longer built but looks as if the matrix led technology was just too expensive...

The perfect tv. Picture, sound and a Bluray all combine into what is a unique experience(apart from the original Avant)

Pick your movies well, sit back and enjoy. Is it the beolab 7-6 your getting?

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Enjoy your new experience. I've had my 7_55 HD/3D Blu-Ray/DVD for about 2 months and love it.

Take the time to set it up properly - speaker types, distances from the tV etc.  What source will you use for TV?  I have to run a digital receiver into mine (no streaming yet) and the source is important.  The difference between reception via HDMI v Scart was incredible (my old STB only had Scart out).  The PS3 into it  is fanrtastic and the Blu-ray player is incredible in detail.  3D is a novelty but not something we will use that often - just the odd film for the kids.

Sound is wonderful - mine is by BL3500 fronts (soon to be BL3's hopefully), BL8000 rears and a BL7.4 centre.  The 7.4 makes a World of difference especially with speach.

It weighs a ton as does the stand alone.  I hope you are having it installed for you.  We did it ourselves and it was terrifying.

Dave.

Ironically both the wife and I prefer the 7-6 for speech but there you go. Out of all the Beolabs or Beovisions I've had, it's easily the most impressive. Virtually unflappableCool

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I had my Beovision 7-55 3D for just under 2 years, and was very impressed with it's Picture Quality, but I decided to sell it due to it's unreliability, flaky software, and it's value sinking like a stone.

During my period of ownership I had to have four visits by a service engineer to replace major components.

Prior to the final visit required B & O to ship a flight case of components from Denmark.

Although there was one year remaining on the warranty I was concerned that upon it's expiry I might be faced with hefty repair bills, so I decided to sell the complete set-up.
