Dear all

i shall shortly be the owner of a BV7-40 MK6 tv and my BV7-32 (Hdmi version) will be used upstairs (directly above it)

if I use a HDMI splitter on the sky and Apple TV downstairs, and use long leads to the 7-32.. Will this give me a better picture then using the RF out on the 7-40? Is it worth it? And will it actually work for sound as long as I use a scart/Hdmi to get the sound out of both the sky and Apple TV ?

i did read somewhere that I the BV7-40 mk6 sound went via Hdmi into Masterlink is this the case ? So taking away the scart socket issue if I want to distribute the rf?

Buying a second ATV would probably come cheaper than buying a long HDMI cable.

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

Hi AndyM,

I think most of your questions had been already answered a few days ago in this thread:

http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/11865.aspx

And yes, BV 7-40 Mk 6 can distribute sound of an only digital connected source via Masterlink, but NOT if BV 7-40 Mk 6 is in standby. If in standby you have to connect the source also analogue.

Regarding Apple TV I agree with MM, I would also buy a second ATV for link tv.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Regards
