Refurbished Beolit 12 : a good purchase ?

Having bought a BeoSound Century for the bedroom, i'm looking for a BeoLit 12 for the kitchen.

I missed the opportunity to buy a grey one when it was at 499 Euros instead of 699 Euros.

Now, the grey BeoLit is out of stock, but on the official BeoPlay website all colors are available if we choose a refurbished model. And the price is very good : 399 Euros.

Do you think it's a bargain ?

There are no details, no pictures and the description is :

  • Products have been tested and certified to be fully functional
  • May have minor cosmetic defects on products and packaging

What do you think ?

Or may be must i wait for the new BeoPlay small speaker (but apparently, the drivers are smaller and the sound is not also powerful) ?

I would wait a bit. From what I heard here on the forum, the new Beoplay is coming soon and the sound and design seem to be quite good.

Minor cosmetic defects ? Usually refurbished item are cosmetically without defect.

I wouldn't buy in such condition without knowing the defect.

I have a 12 in the kitchen and really like the sound and look, ok there are a few drop out issues and others on here physically connect but I still stream

Personally I think the design of the Beolit 12 will beat the test of time.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Lot of Beolit 12 have been refurbished for lot of problems.

Buy a new one or wait for the new BeoPlay which is coming soon.

If you search new BeoLit 12 in White limited color email me privately. Yes - thumbs up

The beolit 12 in grey is still available for EUR 499,- new. Shipping to France is EUR 9,90. I bought several items from them and was always satisfied. But I don't know if regarding the mains there is probably a special french version of the lit.

When My wife and I mentioned the white Beolit to a B&O shop in London we were advised against it based on the condition he'd seen a customers example. We got the grey/blue one .

I think i'm gonna be a wiseguy and wait for november to see the new BeoPlay speaker.

I would go for the Beolit 12, and at 399 it's a good deal. The 12 is a lot more flexible as it has the rechargeable battery and is portable. The sound is surprisingly good, and I haven't had dropout issues with mine! 

I highly recommend it from my experience Yes - thumbs up

The beolit 12 should be used only with apple products ? Is there someone who use it with airplay app on android ?
