Hiya guys

How do I stop BEO4 controlling the Avant 55

when i increase volume or switch off the BV7 it also has affects the Avant in another room

There are more ways.

If you have a newer Beo4, you maybe can reduce the power of the ir in the settings.

Or you could use one of the plastic caps, that the use in the shops to reduce the range.

Or you could put your BV7 into 'link-option' - which would mean that you would have to press 'Link' before you choose any command. A newer Beo4 (again) even has a setting for constantly (automatic) sending the 'Link' command.

That is what comes into my mind at the moment - maybe someone else has 'a better solution'.

If it's a relatively new Beo4 you can turn down the IR power using the instructions found here: http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/7442/66207.aspx#66207

Otherwise you should be able to buy (from dealer?) an IR range-reducer that clips over the end of the Beo4.
