First of all i am from Belguim so my english isn't that good.
So lately i bought myself an Avant 32 DVD from 1997 its model number is 8440.
It worked good for like 4 days an then the electricical fuse turned off the tv was loss of power for like 4 to 5 hours it happend in the night. The next mornig i wanted to turn on my tv. So i did an then it immidialtly turned it self off again. so i thought lets get breakfest an trie again but no it won't turn on anymore. A bit later a friend of my came over to take a look an we find out that if you press Go up down up down the tv turnes on an shows monitor information an by tv error it says last tv error 1007 6C-1 - 0502 6C-1 -0502 6C-1 0502-6C1 0502 6C-1. If i push the menu button on tha beo 4 i get into a menu more err info info from NVMEN it says APOS_IOP_ERROR WATCHDOG_RESET APOS_IOP_ERROR an that 6 more times. If i push down i get into a menu VMEM(ram) error it says exactly the same but not 6 times just one. I searched a bit on the internet and think that their is some kind of ic error but i don't know what exactly i know a bit of electricity so i think i can repair it but i have to know exactly what the problem is. And how do i reset the avant
Thankx in advance sorry for the bad english

Hi Seppe,
Switch off the TV at the mains, unplug it if you like and leave it for a few minutes. Plug it in and switch it on again and see what happens. Sometimes a re-set after a power out is all that is needed but the error codes are a concern. Simply turning the TV on and off will not re-set it fully. I've quickly looked through the service manual but cannot find any reference to the error codes.
Unless you really know about TV repairs be extremely careful as the voltages can be terminal if you get a shock. Best left to the experts.
Dave.
