Dear members,
I need some inspiration for finally mounting my Beolab 5000 panel speakers. Therefore, I'd like to see some pictures from those who have already completed their installation. Anything special to consider?
Thanks very much!
Greetings,
Kai
Hi Kai,
you shouldn't need inspiration! Get them on the wall and use them to the full.
They are very heavy and can be awkward to get on the mounting brackets - use very good screws to fix the brackets to the wall.
Make sure you have enough room above the bracket so you can adjust the levelling screws with a screwdriver.
Make sure they are working as you want and fully connected to the cables etc i.e. all settings are correct before you put them on the wall otherwise you'll have to take them down again.
Have someone help you in case you need some extra support under the speakers as you mount them.
Ensure the acrylic covers are well attached as they can fall off if not properly secured - I've had this happen with a BL3000, fortunately caught with no damage. The double sided tape gives way with age.
You will get finger marks all over them when you mount them, give them a nice clean with Coconut or baby oil.
Turn them on and enjoy!
Mine aren't connected to an amp yet as I'm still finalising where everything is going to go in my BEORoom. Here are some pictures of mine:
Dave.
The new Christmas competition - identify all on Dave's shelves!! Might need some lids lifted for some of the record players!!

And that's only 1 wall in 1 room! I will make a thread of all of my collection once it's organised and the building work is finished.
But back to Kai and his request.......
Here's one of mine. Wider angle available once I get my new bookshelf up (that is, once I get the type of shelf plates I actually ordered . I believe I have posted some pics in the "Flash... etc" thread)
In didn't have the original brackets so these are only hanging on a couple of suitable screws. Hard to get exactly level, and I cannot recommend that to anybody who has family, drunken visitors, or large pets.

Oops, forgot the smiley :-) (which does not work).
Off topic, but Dave that is quite the collection!
Thanks everybody so far. Very nice pictures. There are not that many around who have the Beolab 5000s installed. Obviously because they are rare AND it's quite an effort to get them wall-mounted properly. Thanks Dave for all the help. Your collection is indeed quite remarkable.
Cheers
I gave my pair, on loan, to my dentist! He had just the right type of room - I lent him a 2300 as well and he uses it for his relaxation classes!!
4 beolab 5, beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2, 2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...
Picture, picture! Don't worry about the cables. I'd be interested to see them in one location. 2 great sets of classic speakers in one room. Fabtastic.

Tournedos, could you tell me who manufactures the lamp in your photo and what base of bulb it uses? That lamp would be great with the Philips Hue!
Jeff, it's Double Bubble by Eero Aarnio (the Ball chair guy). Available in three sizes, this is the middle one and has three E14 bulbs.
