Hi I am a new member and have been an enthusiastic B & O user since purchasing a beovision 600 back in the 70s.  I still have it and its stand!

My problem is that apart from giving another tv to charity a while back,  I have never been able to bring myself to part with any of my B & O products.  Now a proposed house move forces a rethink but this is where my dilema lies and the point of this post as I am not sure how best to go about this.

The equipment I have to dispose of is:

Beomaster 5000 + Beogram CD50 + Beocord + Beogram 5000 + master controller all purchased at the same time;

Pair of Beovox S45 speakers (may need refoaming)  and pair of CX50 speakers.

Beocord 5000VHS/VCR

Beovision 600 with original stand

I believe all works but I haven't connected anything up or used any of it for some while.

So my question is should I sell the 5000 system and the speakers as one package or seperately and can anyone give me an idea of what price I should expect for system/individual components.  Same question about price for the VCR and the vintage tv.

Reference the stackable system I asked the same question of two professional eBay B&O sellers, and they advised splitting the stack and selling as separates.

I guess that makes sense, more likely more people are looking to add to an existing setup, rather starting afresh with a 1980s system.

On the other hand it seems such a pity to break up a family ....

The VHS player is unfortunately worth very little despite it being an awesome device.

The Beovision 600 would definitely appeal to a collector especially with the trumpet stand. I take it you mean the black and white set? Where are you based as if in the south I will ask a friend! Not worth very much - let's face it most CRT sets are only going to end up at a tip especially B&W - but the 600 deserves a better fate than that.

Agree with Peter, the Beovision 600 is a great piece and absolutely worth saving.

Where are you based?

Thanks all for replies. Think I shall either keep the system or put up for sale as a complete system. I hate to see it broken up. As to beovision 600 I am based in Buckinghamshire near amersham. I agree it's such a style icon of its day that it needs preserving that's why I have kept it since new. So open to selling. Rest assured I  won't scrap it!
