Hello All
I have a BV7 MK4 that is using SD distrubution of Sky HD around the house to a single beovision 3.
The picture is perfect on the second TV without the special signal booster that B&O sell.
I dont ever use my built in HD Freeview box until now, I have a BS4 DAB that needs an Ariel to be installed.
I have some questions.
If i get an Ariel installed can it be split in two and connected to my BV7 and BS4 giving me the freeview on my tv.
I understand this will be able to be sent via SD to my bedroom TV but i have just installed a BV6 in my kitchen and ran the Ariel cable to it but not connected it yet.
Will the BV need the seperate modulator if i add another link tv or will it be fine with a splitter?
Do i need the Bang and Olufsen specific modulator or is any booster OK?
Cheers all

I'm an electrician and specialise in IT, audio/video and home automation installations so I've done quite a lot of this stuff in the past, so can hopefully answer most of your questions.
Assuming you're intention is to have a UHF (TV) aerial and a DAB aerial installed on the same mast, you'll want a UHF/DAB diplexer on the mast to combine the signals from both aerials into a single downlead (or for the sake of an additional 20 quid, I'd recommend installing an FM aerial too, in which case you will need a UHF/DAB/FM triplexer to combine all three into a single cable down from the roof).
At the other end by your BV7 and BS4 (assuming they are close together), you'd install a faceplate that splits these back into separate outlets and then feed the BV7 and BS4 from there using separate cables.
The modulator output from the BV7 would then be connected to your two link room TVs, you *may* get away with just using a splitter but this will depend on the distances involved, the sensitivity of the inputs on the link room TVs, and the quality of cable used. Unfortunately the only way to know for sure would be to give it a try.
I'm not sure whether the modulator output from the BV7 also carries the TV signals from the aerial input. This would only matter to you if you also wish to use a freeview box on the link room TVs, but if you do, and it doesn't, you'd need to run seperate aerial feeds to the other TVs (or combine these with the modulator output)
If you're looking for a more modular / future proof system, with the ability to distribute everything to every room, something like the setup below would allow this (it's what I have installed at home) - you'd run feeds from your aerial and satellite dish to a central location, connect them all to a multiswitch, and run two cables from there to each room (one cable to each room is sufficient if you won't ever want to install a sky+ box or freesat box with a recorder in that room). This setup will give you connections for TV, DAB, FM & Satellite as well as access to the modulator output from the BV7 in each room. It's not actually that expensive if you're happy running the cables yourself (multiswitch cost is around 70-80 quid). I would recommend using decent quality coax cable (can't go wrong with something like Webro WF100 as long as we're not talking about runs in excess of 50 metres - whatever you do, please avoid the cheap brown sheathed TV grade coax as it is next to useless!)
Hope this helps and please do let me know if you have further questions...
Kind Regards,
Martin.
