I have an Android mini tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0) which will play music from Internet Radio (via Wifi). One station only plays Mozart, my favourite composer. I would like to hear this music on the good quality speakers connected to my Beomaster 5500 rather than headphones or the tablet's speakers.

Is this possible? Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks,

Nick Heap

Hi Nick,

I don't know what output there is on your device but will something like this help?:

Drop a line to Steve at SoundsHeavenly - down at the bottom of the Beoworld site pages or have a look at his products.

I'm hopeless at this tech stuff but I'm sure Steve can help.

Dave.

You will need a cable, head phone plug to 5pin DIN, and connect to the tape input. search Ebay or audio suppliers

Hi Soren, I did as you suggested and got a headphone plug to five pin DIN, and got great sound, but only from one speaker. I couldn't fix this and the system plays through both speakers fine on CD and Tape and Radio. (I did have to switch the plugs, the new one was too long to fit, so the Beocord plays through Tape 2 (perfectly) and the Android device through Tape. I was wondering if I need to get a different plug, or am I missing something.

Best wishes,

Nick

@ Nick, Check that the headphone plug is inserted correctly, if not all the way in, you will have sound from only one speaker, some of these plugs goes in quite hard.  I think this may occur when the plug is a 3.5 mm and the jack 1/8" (nearly 3.2 mm) . I experienced this on an Iphone from the fruit company.
