Dear members,

I just got a new MMC 20 EN-R sealed in the original box. What does the R stand for? Does anybody know? How much is a new MMC 20 EN approximately worth?

Thanks!

Kai

Hi Kai,

Can't remember what the 'R' stands for. I think it was on another thread ages ago. As for worth, I've seen them go for anything between 75 - 200 EUR but the caveat is that age is the problem as the suspension can still be completely shot on a NOS cartridge and will need a rebuild. Try it out and see how it sounds.

Dave.

The only difference from the normal to the -R models is the packaging.
The -R models were in smaller boxes, containing no tools, certificates or instructions.
You could consider the -R models spare parts rather than a product itself.

MMC1 was not available in -R version.

The -R is not printed on the cartridge.

Thanks Dave and Martin. Yes, it is a small box and only the brush is included. Also, the plastic protection around the needle is not in place. Other than that it looks like a normal MMC 20 EN.

Greetings,

Kai
