Hi,

Does anybody know the correct voltage for the B&O IR converter - the one that converts later IR codes (Beo4 etc) to work on older receivers - BM5000, BM8000 etc?

Thanks in advance,

Lee

Mine is 9VDC 500mA. However my converter only works intermittently and I haven't looked for the cause yet, this voltage might be too low. The adaptor that came with mine is not official. The converter calls for 8-14V, maybe better be on the high side of that.

What is important is the connector pinout: the sleeve of the adapter carries + voltage and the tip the - voltage, contrary to what one would expect from most adaptors!

PS: thought I already sent this but something went wrong, now I see 2 different posts in my list, it appears you made a double post?
