Hi.

I am trying to get the apple tv to work on the beo vision 7. The hdmi cable connects through the back of the tv and the picture quality is perfect. The problem is that I can not get any sound. I have done an update on the apple tv, and have looked at the settings on options but nothing seems to help.

If going to the configuration for av1 I can set the output to hdmi, then a list of all different boxes appear. Which one on here should I select? I usually go on sky digital.

Any help would be appreciated. This also seems to be a problem on all stuff that I connect through the hdmi cable.

Thanks

It has been discussed many times.

Seems strange that you get a picture, but no sound. I have had something similar happen a couple of times with my satellite box. Over time, the turning of the BV7 causes the HDMI to loosen just enough that there is sound but no picture. A quick push on the HDMI to make sure it is securely attached to the BV7 solves the problem.

I also have an Apple TV connected. I will take a look at my settings and see if I see anything That sounds different than what you have done.

I'm no expert but these are my 7-55 settings. Have you turned up the volume on the Apple TV?

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Sorry for my comment. I thought about the usual "can't get optical sound working".

Don't forget to set SOUND INPUT to HDMI (not S/P-DIF) in AV-connection menue!

I literally just dealt with this with a roku.

Make sure the audio out from the Apple TV is set to stereo not surround sound.

The B&O will do the work.

For some reason the sys3 won't accept the 'surround sound' input.

I have a similar issue and solved it exactly as you suggested. However, I always thought that this indeed have limited me to stereo. I know that the BV can still put out something with 5.1 speakers, but that woudl not be the original 5.1 track from the movie (as this has been removed to stereo while transmitting)? Any ideas?

I don't think that's the case.

I can't be sure but I think the bv7 gets the packet of information and deciphers it in to

5.1.
