After months of discussions, we finally decided to get a BV11-55 with an easel stand (to replace a 10-46) instead of an Avant. We will keep the 2 BL6000. The choice was made based on the more pleasant design of the 11 (especially considering its placement inside the house, the Avant stand is a deal breaker unfortunately).
The question is: what are the chances of an upgraded BV11 this year? I'm not so worried about the introduction of 4K, but it would be disappointing to see a Mk V with better sound or picture improvements weeks after the purchase.
Any insights/guesses/wild speculations?
Hi Marcello! Nice choice. I'm in the same position now that the BV11 is more my kind of price range. However after shopping around over the weekend, i'm now seeing LG 4K for £499 plus their OLED range expanding etc. Of course it's making sense to either go the 4K LCD or 4K OLED route. I'm holding on, as I want my next TV to last a good 10 years just like my last one. For me, the BV11 Mark Rothko design was last forever - I have many Mark Rothko pieces of art in my house - they are timeless probably because they are so simple!
I hope others will be able to shine a light with ideas. Maybe 2016 will see a OLED BV11 but hey, let's not wish our lives away!

Our new Constitution is now established, and has an appearance that promises permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except "updates", death and taxes.
Hi Mjmedio. Maybe there will be a TV based on the DNA of the design in the future - BV5, BV9, BV10, BV11 and...
Whoever invests in B&O must surely do their research and realise that this model is true B&O not like that cheap looking Avant with the damn ugly dated stand! BV11 is pure class, Avant is cheap bling in a desperate move for profit.

The BV 9 is a stunning design, and although some would argue the BV5 was the icon, I think the more refined 9 has the quintessential B&O dimensions and lines.
Beautiful!
Some amazing designs there :) I remember the BV5 being launched whilst I was studying at art school - it was the price of a brand new MINI Cooper at the time - I guess today's bv11 is good value now :)
Timeless design but hey, thanks do go to Mark Rothko for supplying the inspiration to David Lewis :)
