Some years ago, I bought a defect Beomaster 4000. Just to have it in my collection -but with the intention of getting it repaired, and later enjoy the sound from it too. Then I bought a repair-kit from friendly member "Dillen" (Martin). It just went into storage, while I was busy working on my old house, bought 4 years ago. Finally, last year I finished the 1. floor of the house - with my BeoBar and my private "museum", as some of you might have noticed in another thread...
The Beomaster was set "on display", together with it's "relatives". As I have 8 fully working B&O audio systems, I wasn't in a rush to get the old BM repaired. But...still - it would be nice to get it "up and running". Then I sold a defect Beogram CD50 to a friendly guy, who told me, that he repairs B&O as a hobby.If I had anything that needed repair, he would like to take a look at it. I said "Ok - I have this 4000 that needs some new caps, and I have a repair-kit".
I have just got it back home -and it is as good as new. What a wonderful receiver. " />

After my BM 4400 the BM 4000 is my best receiver, and from design I like the 4000 more, the black front does it.
And a working item is always a compliment to the owner and the museum, I really must come over and test that bar in a wonderful surrounding. Congrats Steffen
