Hi, Just taken delivery of a pair of beolab 18s, connected to my Avant 55. Both were working perfectly, the TV has been swapped for another Avant and now one of the speakers flashers amber and won't connect, the other one is fine. Tried resetting and powering off for a while, no joy.Anyone have any other suggestions.
Many thanks is advance
Paul
Paul,
are they connected to the TV by cable or Wisa? If by cable, swap the cables and see if the problem swaps to the other BL18.
Flashing amber on active speakers is not a good sign usually. Be prepared to get the seller to sort it out. Are they new or used?
Dave.
Great news, as I've got the 55" Avant and BeoLab 18's being installed next Friday....
So I've got various TV and speaker issues to look forward to now!
What was the issue with the Avant? Screen / glass related?
Please tell me with the exception of the issues, it's freaking amazing?
Hi,
Trying to connect wirelessly, what I don't get is it worked perfectly until the TV was swapped. Just don't understand why it isn't now. It wasn't moved or anything.
My Avant was swapped because it kept crashing in to the stand. You won't be disappointed, I love both the TV and the speakers (when they worked at least).
The picture on HD is brilliant, the interface and remote are really good, the way it controls your external devices is really neat. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat, in fact as soon as I can decide where its going I'm after a 85 or 75 at least.
It is my first B&O, I've had Loewe for the last 10 years or so. The Avant is far superior in my opinion.
The only moan I have is I think the speaker mechanism is noisy when moving up or down, doesn't sound very 'high end'.

That's another fault you need to get sorted out. It has been reported here before and should be fixed under warranty. It should not be noisy.
Same for me that's its my first real B&O purchase, only had a phone before.
They hadn't announced the 75 when I ordered four weeks back, I knew the 85 was too big but now I'm already wanting to upgrade and it's not even arrived yet.
Are you thinking of adding other speakers?
I'm torn between adding another set of 18's and a 19, or moving the 18's to the rear and adding a set of 20's. Having listened to all of them a few times now, I'm go for the 20's in a heartbeat, the thing I'm worried about is I've got two Siamese cats, who I'm almost certain would see the 20's as a giant scratch post. I may create a new post asking if anyone has had cat related speaker issues.
