Interesting info, MM.

But if you don't want to see any switch, converter or cable in your home you have to install your video/audio-equipment first and then build your house around it. Big Smile

And probably only needed in big houses with a huge installation.

I guees that it won't matter much how high the extra costs are in these cases.

Besides - with more and more online video services coming - the need local video distribution will be less.

I would not know what to distribute through a matrix solution in my humble home.

Interesting brochure - I have an Atlona 4 x 2 matrix in my current setup with the Avant , cost several hundred GB Pounds.

I have the sky box/PS4 and apple tv connected to the atlona , this is so that I could switch between Avant and the projector.

currently working on getting my Beo 5 to control those devices including the CINEMA on and OFF function whereby , lights go off, blinds come down, projector screen comes down and picture switches over from the avant onto the projector

any suggestions/advice on this would be greatly appreciated

The CINEMA function tells the B&O TV to send out 1 to 2 discreet triggers, each with CINEMA ON and CINEMA OFF, which are intended to control relays for screens, projectors, and/or lighting. The Lintronic box can be programmed to accept these triggers and use the triggers to send out IR signals to control whatever you want. You have to activate this CINEMA function in the TV's service menu, selecting the desired time delays between triggers. To me, the difficult part was wiring a custom cable to go between the B&O TV and the Lintronic box so that the pins for the TV and the Lintronic box match. You can find instructions on all of this on the Lintronic website.
