Hi can anyone tell me the best place to buy a remote control for a Beocentre 1  ,I live in the north east

The best remote is the Beo4 - I would look on eBay. The Beo1 remote can be used but is less practical in many ways!

Hi thanks , I really want a beocentre 1 tv and seen one for sale without a remote, any idea what would be a good price to pay ?

Between 100 and 250 Euro should be ok. I got two of those and love them. Great picture and sound. Of course resolution is not nearly as high as of any current TV, but you will only be able to tell when close enough to the screen. From a reasonable viewing distance, the picture is great. Different than LCDs or whatever they are called nowadays but I like it. What's more, on the high stand it was the best option for me to place a TV without any visible cables in the bedroom. Highly recommended. I agree that the Beo4 is more functional, but the Beo1 looks cooler and I like its concept. Using videotext is a bit of a mess with the Beo1 though.
