Hi,

I can get a nice Master Control Panel AV 9000 for very, very little outlay.

Can it be used with Beolab 6000 speakers at all, and how?

Thanks!

Jacques

Hi Jacques,

there are no powerlink outputs on the MCP AV9000.  It is Masterlinked to the TV and the speakers connected to the TV.  In reality it's just a CD and tape player/tuner for the AV9000.

This thread half covers it but was for a BL3500 etc:

I've got a spare AV9000 TV if you want one.  It works perfectly and will go nicely in your B&O room.  Then you could connect your BL6000's to the AV9000.  Well worth it and the picture is really good too for a CRT old school.

Dave.

Hi Jaques,

forget the MCP 9000 as a standalone  Audio System. You can't do much without the AV9000. with one exception: Put the MCP9000 into service mode to use it in a very restricted way.

It can be converted into a BeoCenter 2500 / Ouverture but at a very high cost. Several boards have to replaced / added to get a fully functional BC2500 / Ouverture.

Ulf Kiener has done this earlier but doesn't enforce anyone to do this regarding the financial input. Link (in german).

Thanks for your answers mates. So it is an impossible union then, and the panel is nothing without the rest of the system - after all it is called MCP!

And thanks Dave for your offer! But I have no room left for yet another CRT TV set. Mmm, perhaps I should make some room...

It's free to you otherwise it's going to the 'dechet!'  I have one in use and have no need for the second.

Dave.
