I have a beovisiob 7 32 Type 9344 ( an odd model ) I am trying to hook up my xbox to the tv via the dvi>hdmi adapter. The hdmi cable when hooked up to the bt tv box and sound via scart works fine showing HD images. But when i plug the hdmi cable from the xbox to the tv and assign it a av slot in connections nothing comes through to the tv??? If you have any ideas i would be thankful.

Richard, I can't help specifically but can only point you to some recent threads on a similar issue with xbox connections to Beovisions; such as this one:

http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/9243/81202.aspx#81202

If you use the 'search this site' box at the top right of the forum and just type in 'xbox dvi' you get all sorts of results.  Your answer may be in there somewhere.

It may be a resolution issue which needs changing according to some pôsts or even a 50 and 60 Hz change is some settings.  There seem to be all sorts of workarounds.

Hopefully someone with first hand knowledge can help you directly.

Have you tried one of these:

I am using my PS4 with my BV7-40 mk2 via DVI. Can you force the Xbox to output lower resolution?

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

Thanks for reply, yup i had to write down the options to get to the xbox screen in composite then in hdmi via dvi adapter i followed them blind and my screen burst into life. I now have xbox hd. ! Thanks for help. I did have to crack the cover on the xbox lead so that i could fit both the hdmi and sound/video lead in. Very happy that i don't need to upgrade!

Glad it's up and running.

There are some 'reasonable' Beolab speakers available.  For example, the BL4000's.  These are small and discrete but have plenty of power and bass, plus they are small enough to not be obtrusive.  Lifestyle AV have some nice ones at the moment in Black.  One of my favourite speakers.

They are on their eBay staore:

I think they have about 3 pairs at different prices (age and condition) but they always overemphasise any marks etc.
